Effective October 20, 2026

“I kept one secret for most of my life. I’m not looking to keep yours. Here’s what we collect and why.” (Peter)

This policy explains how BRX Studios LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit iampeterparker.com (the “Site”) or subscribe to our newsletter, Letters from Peter.

1. What we collect

  • Your email address, and your name if you give it, when you subscribe to Letters from Peter.
  • Messages you send us, if you email us.
  • Technical data our web host processes to deliver and secure the Site, such as IP address and browser type, kept in short-lived server logs.

We don’t collect payment information, sell personal information, or knowingly collect information from children under 13.

2. How we use it

We use this information to:

  • send you Letters from Peter (new episodes and related news)
  • reply to your messages
  • keep the Site secure and working

3. Legal bases (EU/UK visitors)

  • We send the newsletter based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • We keep the Site secure based on our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure website.

4. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data for us under their own privacy and security commitments:

  • Newsletter: Substack, to store subscribers and send Letters from Peter. Substack handles your subscription under its own privacy policy.
  • Hosting: Hostinger, to run the Site.

We may disclose information if required by law. We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Embedded content and cookies

  • Episode pages embed players from Spotify and YouTube. These players may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies.
  • We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) for video embeds.
  • The Site itself doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies. It uses only cookies strictly necessary for it to function.
  • See the Spotify privacy policy and the Google privacy policy.

6. How long we keep it

  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. Substack may keep an unsubscribe record so you aren’t emailed again. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
  • Messages: as long as needed to respond.
  • Server logs: typically 30 days or less.

7. Your rights and choices

  • Unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
  • Depending on where you live (California, EU/UK and elsewhere), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Email peter@iampeterparker.com to make a request. We’ll respond within 30 days and won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
  • California residents: we don’t sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
  • EU/UK residents may also complain to their local data protection authority.

8. Children

The Site is for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. You must be at least 13 (16 in the EU/UK) to subscribe to the newsletter. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Security and international transfers

  • We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
  • Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries, using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll change the “Effective” date above, and for significant changes we’ll tell newsletter subscribers.
