About me

You know me as Spider-Man. I’m the kid from Queens who got bitten by a spider at a science exhibit in 1962 and spent the rest of his life trying to make the rent, keep his aunt in medicine, and get to school on time. I mostly failed at the last one.

I took pictures for a newspaper that hated me. Later I taught science at the same high school where I used to get stuffed into lockers. I’m old now. Bad knees, good memory. Not the combination I’d have picked.

For most of my life I couldn’t tell anybody who I really was. So I’m telling you all of it, one week at a time.

How this works

There’s a new episode every week, about half an hour each. We go in order, the way it happened, starting with the night my Uncle Ben died. You can listen on Spotify or watch on YouTube, and every episode page has the full transcript if you’d rather read along.

If you want a letter when the next one’s out, sign up at the bottom of this page. I’ll keep it short. I’m not much of a typist.

About this project

From the team, in plain English: I Am Peter Parker is an unofficial, fan-made audio drama. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Marvel, Disney or Sony. Peter’s voice is AI-generated, performing original scripts written by people who’ve loved these comics for a long time. The stories follow the published comics, starting with Amazing Fantasy #15. Go read them; they’re wonderful.
